We’ll have an opportunity to take part in a pre-breakfast Tai Chi session that promotes strength, balance, and peace of mind. Getting in and out of maxi-vans. Driving approximately 2 hours, about 15 miles. Walking around bridges and on slightly uneven terrain.
From 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM in the Mayflower Dining Room, the breakfast buffet offers choices such as scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, hot and cold cereals, fruit bar with yogurt and granola, bread for toast, milk, juice, coffee, tea, water.
PRESENTATION for our first class will be be an introduction to how does a real CSI get the job done presented by a retired detective/interviewer who has spent more than 35 years as a professional. The morning break will include coffee, tea, water, fruit and homemade Danish to renew your energy. The morning will continue with qualifications, real stories in real life and how interviews are conducted.
Lunch, will be served from 12:30-1:15 p.m. in the Mayflower Dining Room. Choose from a full salad bar, soup of the day, taco salad, and/or make your own sandwich, brownies or cookies and drinks of your choice. (gluten free or vegetarian available upon request).
This afternoon will feature a number of options including a planned hike for those who desire, canoeing, a brief lecture about Swanzey Lake and region, and free time to read or rest.
Full buffet dinner 6:00 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room. The meal will include a full salad bar, meat and vegetable entrées, dessert and drinks of your choice. (gluten free and vegetarian meals are available upon request).
At 7:15 p.m there will be a presentation on firearms. The evening will conclude with a light snack in the Dining Room along with opportunities to discuss the day or relax and join other Road Scholars in a variety of activities.
