If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Start of Trip: 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 6:00 p.m. Orientation followed by Welcome Dinner.
Getting to the site: To reach the program site from the airport on your own, you a have few options. At the information desk in the airport arrivals terminal, you can get the most updated bus and train timetables. Please check Naples Airport website for more info: https://www.aeroportodinapoli.it/info-and-services/transport Take the Alibus / ANM from Naples Capodichino Airport to Naples central train Station (15 minutes ride). Tickets are sold at ANM ticket offices or at the authorized retail outlets (newsagents, bars) near the airport. Ticket must be stamped as soon as you get on the bus and keep it until you get off the bus. It is possible to buy Alibus ticket also at the airport, at the vending machines, located on the ground floor of the arrivals area. Take the train from Napoli to Salerno o from Naples to Agropoli. https://www.trenitalia.com/ Take the bus from Salerno to Santa Maria Castellabate (1.5 hours bus ride) o from Agropoli to Santa Maria Castellabate (40 minutes ride) https://www.fsbusitalia.it/content/dam/fsbusitalia/documenti/campania/bic-2021-pdf/34fefs.pdf At the bus stop in Santa Maria Castellabate, call the hotel and they will send their free private shuttle (10 minutes ride). or - There are taxis outside the airport arrival area. The ride from Naples Airport to the Grand Hotel Santa Maria in Castellabate is approximately 2 hours. Private transfers can be arranged in advance at an additional cost. Ticket must be stamped as soon as you get on the bus and keep it until you get off the bus. or -Take a taxi from the hotel to Naples airport (2 hours ride). Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are eligible to take advantage of the designated group transfers: Arrivals: transfers from the airport to the start location will take place between 11am to 12pm and 2pm to 3pm on the first scheduled day of the program. Departures: transfer from the end location to the airport will take place between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on the last scheduled day of the program. The airport is approximately 2 hours from the hotel, your flight must depart no earlier than 6:15 a.m. Participants must notify Road Scholar of their flight arrangements no later than 30 days prior to departure by calling 1-800-454-5768. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 6:30pm ET. If your flight is delayed or cancelled causing the flight to be outside of the designated transfer times, please contact your Group Leader.
