John Steinbeck was known for championing the working class and downtrodden. His impressive achievements included the National Book Award, Pulitzer and Nobel Prize. Steinbeck was a master of both the sweeping epics “Grapes of Wrath” and “East of Eden,” and the poignant and comedic novellas “Of Mice and Men” and “Cannery Row." A dozen films and stage plays were based on this great author's work. Join lecturer James Dalessandro as he delves into photos, stories and excerpts from "East of Eden” and “Cannery Row" to bring alive one of America’s greatest writers.
