Use of New York City subway. Walking up to 5 miles throughout the day.
In the meeting room.
In the Theatre District around Times Square, we’ll divide into two smaller groups and set out on a field trip to explore the heart of New York show business. We’ll have maps and clues to discover some of the famous sights and take pictures to document our discoveries. We’ll then return to the hotel for a special highlight of the program: meeting a young performer on their way up to learn how they got started and how they balance performing in a show with school, friends and growing up.
Bag lunch in the meeting room. If you have an early curtain or want to start your afternoon's adventures right away, you're welcome to take the lunch to go.
Free time. This period of time has been set aside for your personal independent exploration to see and do what interests you most. Please refer to the list of Free Time Opportunities. The Group Leader will be happy to offer suggestions. If an Broadway show is on your agenda, we suggest utilizing the TKTS Discount Ticket Booth located in Times Square for day-of purchases at a 30% - 50% discount off regular box office prices. Alternatively, to purchase tickets ahead of time, we recommend the TodayTix app. It allows for advance sales at a very low service fee, features discounts and allows one to choose a section, though not a specific seat location. Note: Ticketmaster and Telecharge charge exorbitant fees.
On your own to enjoy what you like. If you have something special in mind, we recommend making reservations in advance.
