Science is a playground of discovery on this fun-filled adventure in Portland, Oregon with your grandchild! Spend action-packed days at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), where you’ll create chemical concoctions, design your own roller coaster and build a scribbling robot that can doodle all on its own! And cap it all off with a sleepover aboard the U.S.S. Blueback, a real U.S. Navy submarine and star of the movie “The Hunt for Red October.”

Best of all, you'll ...

  • Aboard the U.S.S. Blueback, explore this fast-attack submarine’s control room and the torpedo room and spend the night!
  • At OMSI, take in a cinematic experience unlike any other at the Giant Screen Theater and spin through outer space in the planetarium.
  • Discover what makes Portland's famous moveable bridges unique during a walk along the Willamette River.
