Trescott
Nestled in the woods of coastal, eastern Maine on the CCLC's fifty acre campus, Heartwood Lodge is a beautifully constructed retreat center on the campus of Cobscook Community Learning Center in Trescott, Maine. trescott is tucked alongside Cobscook Bay and within easy access to Lubec and Eastport. The Lodge, as part of a larger vision, was constructed in 2013-14 as a community dream project using local labor and local materials. You will see Maine's beautiful woods reflected in the abundant use of timbers and handmade furniture as you relax in the peaceful and simple surroundings. During your stay, you will interact with community members who are involved with the variety of community classes, lectures, and meetings that are part of the CCLC’s mission to provide responsive educational opportunities to local and visiting lifelong learners. You may also share the Lodge with a few archeologists, marine biologists, educators, philanthropists, traditional and folk artists, or medical students who are visiting as part of their work. Our community music circle is open to all participants. Feel free to join in!
