“Rapa Nui. Seeing the massive moais was incredible. Seeing the sunlight pass precisely between them at dusk on one side of the island, then at dawn on the opposite side was unforgettable!”
—Francie A.
“Going back to visit South Korea and Vietnam 28 years later after having lived in both places during the Vietnam War. Quite a difference.”
—Janet S. W.
“Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu! Hardest thing I’ve ever asked my body to do! (I lost 60 lbs to do it.) It was amazing!”
—Mona T. J.
“My father was an Army surgeon in WWII. He refused to talk about his experience. I bought myself a trip to France for my 50th birthday. We went to a fabulous museum in Northern France. It had displays of artifacts from the war and a film of what happened on the Allied side and the Axis side. Photos of destruction. I finally understood what Daddy saw and experienced and “got” why he could not speak.”
—Sheila S.
“Learning Italian in Urbino — Urbino is la citta de mio cuore.”
—Marilyn R. A. S.
“I took five Road Scholar trips with my granddaughter. We had fun, met people, learned new things and traveled to different states. The intergenerational programs are great.”
—Norma M. C.
“Egypt. Loved seeing the past. Going down the Nile felt like reliving Cleopatra’s life! Pyramids were awesome and we had the opportunity to go inside!”
—Linda G.
“Zip lining at 60. Started at 8,000’ and rode six lines to sea level. At 70, I’m going tandem skydiving.”

—Jane T. G.
“Hiking a portion of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.”
—Sarah D.
“Edinburgh, Scotland, where I met many extended family members that I had never met before. My grandparents came to the U.S. in the 1920’s and left a big family behind. Connecting with them made for an unforgettable adventure.”
