Hiking 4-10 miles daily on varied terrain; mountains, small trails that are mainly gravel and dirt, fields and meadows that have small stones. Sturdy walking/hiking shoes are required. Elevations up to 7,286 feet.

Nacho Engel is a professional certified walking instructor who has been leading explorations in Scandinavia, Spain, and Portugal for 25 years. During that time, he spent four years living in Finnish Lapland, where he worked as a wilderness guide. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Nacho has also led explorations on the Camino de Santiago — the pilgrimage route across northern Spain — for 12 years now. He holds a degree in civil engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, and he continues to make his home in Spain.
