At a Glance

From polar bears, caribou and grizzlies to bowhead whales, microscopic zooplankton and phytoplankton, let’s go on a wildlife adventure in the Arctic, Subarctic and Temperate Rainforest regions of Alaska! Alaska is 20% of the land mass of the United States, and its location on top of North America provides a unique environment for astonishing species of wildlife. Join expert Jerri Roberts for the second segment of this three-part series, and get to know wildlife in Alaska. This lecture will focus on Subarctic Alaska — interior Alaska between the Brooks and Alaska Ranges of mountains. This area is home to many animal species including grizzlies, Dall sheep, moose and the mysterious wood frog.
