At a Glance

As we celebrate Italy, our Campus of the Year, we invite you to rediscover your love of drawing, sprinkled with a little history for good measure. Join architect Mark Keane for a hands-on lecture and learn to sketch St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world. St. Peter’s Basilica is the most important building in Christendom and a jewel of Vatican City — a country within the city of Rome. Featuring designs from Renaissance to Baroque, the architecture is a nod to designers from Bramante to Michelangelo, Bernini to Maderno working on the vision of Pope Julius. Raphael’s “School of Athens,” a masterwork fresco in the Vatican, showcases the story of philosophy and architecture of the day.
