Join local expert, Eleni Petroutsou, as she explores how women have been treated in Greece through the years and identifies extraordinary Greek women known for being assertive, strong willed, brave, confident, productive, powerful and fragile. This lecture will highlight women such as Sapho the poetess, Hypatia the philosopher, astronomer and mathematician, Laskarina Bouboulina, the world's first female naval commander and Melina Mercuri who was an actress, singer and politician.
