Morning: Geology lecture followed by a naturalist-lead beach walk in front of the hotel.

Lunch: Lunch is served in the hotel restaurant.

Afternoon: Lecture on Commercial Fisheries by former fisherman. Also, everyone gets a chance to crack crab!! Our great Northwest Dungeness crab! Then, a field trip to discover the ecology of the northwest rainforests and lakes.

Dinner: Dine high above the waves in the hotel restaurant.

Evening: Natural History of the Oregon Coast slide show

Morning: Presentation by Tuna & Salmon Commissioner, samples included! Discover the latest evidence of ocean changes and the effects on our ecology and fisheries.

Lunch: Lunch at the Fathoms , the hotel restaurant on the tenth floor with spectacular ocean views.

Afternoon: Enjoy a presentation about seafood as we watch one of our presenters fillet a 20 pound King Salmon. Always interesting to see how professionals work with their product! Next we'll learn about Oregon's growing wine industry. Taste for yourself what all of the fuss is about.

Dinner: Dine high above the waves in the hotel restaurant.

Activity note: Estuary walk of less than one mile on gravel road.

Breakfast: Breakfast served in the hotel restaurant.

Morning: Video and discussion: Oregon Estuaries. Then we will head to Culinary Center for presentation.

Lunch: Lunch and cooking lesson at the Lincoln City Culinary Center. Sample Oregon wine as you witness a feast created before your eyes.

Afternoon: Visit a wilderness estuary and learn about the habitat that fosters much of the coast's life. A short walk amongst massive Sitka Spruce trees will soothe you.

Dinner: Dine high above the waves in the hotel restaurant.

Evening: Free evening

Aquarium, Yaquina Head Lighthouse; Rogue Ale & Brewery

Breakfast: Breakfast served in the hotel restaurant.

Morning: We'll travel 25 miles to the coastal town of Newport where we will visit the spectacular Oregon Coast Aquarium and learn about the coast's amazing creatures. We will also view the Yaquina Head Lighthouse; it is the coast's tallest, and the headland surrounding it is home to countless seabirds, sea lions and seals. This outstanding natural area is one of the most pristine on the west coast.

Lunch: Lunch at Brewery on the Bay overlooking the Yaquina Bay.

Afternoon: After lunch, we will enjoy a tour of the Rogue Ale Brewery and Distillery. Tastings included. Newport is their international headquarters.

Dinner: A huge seafood buffet dinner is served in the Fathoms Restaurant. Salmon, halibut, squid, shellfish, crab plus salads and breads and great desserts!

Evening: Wrap up your time on the coast with your fellow travelers.
