Even your camp, an incredible piece of regional and American history, plays a key part in this thrilling adventure!

George Steele grew up just outside of the Adirondacks where hiking and camping with Boy Scouts kindled his love of nature. He received a bachelor’s in forest biology and a master’s in environmental education at Antioch New England Graduate School. He worked for the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation, first with endangered species, then with the environmental education unit. He currently works as an independent environmental/science educator with schools, libraries, museums, nature centers, children’s camps and other outdoor related organizations and facilities throughout the Northeast.
