In the hotel dining room, the breakfast buffet offers selections such as scrambled eggs, meat (sausage or bacon), and pancakes or waffles accompanied by Vermont maple syrup, plus coffee/tea/ decaf and water.

The afternoon features a hands-on program with the educator about Cold-Blooded Critters. Then there will be time to tour the grounds and see cool rare birds such as hawks, vultures, ravens, owls, and bald eagles. Upon our return to the hotel, we'll wade in the White River in the late afternoon.

Discover hidden stories in the allegorical mural that graces the hotel’s Vermont Room. It was painted in 1950 by Peter Michael Gish, a graduate of Dartmouth College who later gained a national reputation for his work. The mural was inspired by the teachings of Dartmouth philosopher Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy (1888-1973).
