At a Glance

The beautifully varied landscape of France influences the cultural identity of each region, including the garden design styles and plant selection. Join Irene Brady Barber, landscape designer and adult education program manager for the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, as she takes you through the design history and evolution of some of the famous and infamous gardens of France. In this virtual lecture, you’ll learn about the elements and principles of French Garden Design and how to implement them in your own outdoor living spaces while still honoring and relating to “sense of place” of the applied garden environment.
