With local experts who lead the way, explore Norway’s second-largest city during insightful walks along charming streets and hikes along the Norwegian mountainside. Learn the history of Bryggen, Bergen’s historic and picturesque wharf that was once an epicenter for European trade. Ride the Fløibanen funicular to the top of Mount Floyen for a nature hike and experience “friluftsliv,” the Norwegian word for a love of outdoor living. Along the way, visit the summer villa of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, learn about Norwegian history during WWII and explore the countryside by boats, bus and train — most notably, the famed Flåm railway.
