We will review the up-to-date program schedule, discuss roles and responsibilities, logistics, safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and answer questions. We will be working with award-winning artists local to the region with a focus on two different mediums and two different subjects, looking intimately at still life and more broadly at the local landscape. This is a Road Scholar Retreats program. Our programming at Retreat locations includes opportunities for light morning exercise, interaction with members of the local community, a farm-to-table or locally sourced meal, and evening entertainment. Each morning before breakfast, we’ll have an opportunity to take part in a tai chi session that promotes strength, balance, and peace of mind. Our expert instructors will provide individual instruction and consultation for incorporating what you learn into skiing and snowshoeing on your own. Daily plans are dependent on weather and road conditions and are subject to change. Periods in the schedule designated as “Free time” and “At leisure” offer opportunities to make your experience even more meaningful and memorable. The Group Leader will be happy to offer suggestions. Program activities, schedules, personnel, and indicated distances or times may change due to local circumstances and conditions. In the event of changes, we will alert you as quickly as possible. Thank you for understanding. Continue getting to know your fellow Road Scholars, settle in, and get a good night’s rest for the day ahead. As with each full day of the program, we’ll end the evening with opportunities for conversation, snacks, watch TV, play table games, puzzle making, and gathering around the fire to unwind.
