Muhammed Ali Center has an elevator between floors on a self guided field trip through the Center. Old Louisville walk is 45 min - 1 hr. on sidewalks and is up to 1.5 miles slow walk with local expert. Conrad-Caldwell home will be visited and has stairs and an elevator.
Breakfast is served at 8:30 am at Churchill Downs Racetrack and includes: Scrambled Eggs, Bacon or Sausage, Biscuits & Gravy, Grits Milk, Juice, Coffee, Tea
Begin your day as you take a journey into the heart of a champion, Muhammed Ali. The Muhammed Ali Center has three levels of award-winning exhibits and galleries. Explore Ali’s legendary life through multimedia presentations, interactive exhibits, historical video, images and artifacts. Learn about Muhammad Ali and how he impacted the world. Next we'll board our motor coach and continue our field trip to the Historic Old Louisville Neighborhood and Visitors Center in Central Park. The Visitors center is located in a beautifully restored mission style building at the crest of the hill in the park. Walk with an expert who will showcase the highlights of Old Louisville through the great architecture built between 1880-1890.
A plated lunch will be in the Old Louisville neighborhood in the historic Mayflower building.
After lunch we will stroll to the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum. The Museum, one of the finest examples of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, was the masterpiece of famed local architect Arthur Loomis of Clarke & Loomis. You will have a small amount of time to relax after your field trips and prepare for your evening cruise. We will board the Mary M Miller paddle boat for a dinner cruise at 6:30 pm.
