A fifth generation Texan and an award-winning teacher, Bill Perryman is known throughout Texas for his historical portrayals of heroic figures in Texas and American history and for his teacher trainings, seminars and educational explorations of historic San Antonio. He is the founder of History In Person Theater which is an official arts program for the Texas Commission on the Arts. Bill’s passion for history captivates audiences!
Harrison Eppright, a proud East Austin native, has been sharing the rich and complex history of Austin as a tour guide for nearly two decades. Known for his passion for history, African American heritage, and architecture, Harrison highlights Austin’s past and present through his engaging storytelling and theatrical flair. With the ever-changing landscape of his hometown, he is dedicated to preserving and sharing its cultural legacy with locals and visitors alike.
Rachel O'Brien is a Trip-School certified group leader and Texas local with a deep appreciation for history, sparked the moment she stood atop the Brandenburg Gate as the Berlin Wall fell. With over 25 years of experience leading organizations, she’s found her sweet spot as a group leader. A great cup of coffee and a good book make her happy, a competitive game of Mahjong keeps her sharp, and she lives by the motto, “swimming is life!”
Jesús F. “Frank” de la Teja is Regents’ Professor Emeritus and University Distinguished Professor Emeritus of history at Texas State University, where he taught for 18 years. Born in Cuba, he came to the U.S. in 1963 and earned B.A. and M.A. degrees from Seton Hall University. He completed a Ph.D. at UT-Austin and served as Texas’s inaugural State Historian. A noted scholar, editor, and public historian, he has received numerous honors, including the Captain Alonso de León Medal and Hero of San Jacinto.
