It’s no secret that San Francisco has long been a creative hub for a thriving art community. But did you know that the "City by the Bay" is also home to celebrated museums, inspiring murals and growing, diverse communities that are further shaping its art scene? Immerse yourself in San Francisco’s art world on this learning adventure that will introduce you the best of European, African American, Asian, Chicano and Latino art communities. Explore collections in the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor, sister museums that comprise San Francisco’s largest public arts institution. Study modern and contemporary art from around the world at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. And expand your knowledge of diverse artists and cultures at the Asian Art Museum, the Museum of the African Diaspora and the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts. Daily lectures and field trips with local experts will bring the city’s African American, Asian, Chicano and Latino art communities to life in this one-of-a-kind experience.
