Amazing Alaska: The Last Frontier, From Mountains to the Sea
After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
Please bring your America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass (senior pass was formerly known as the Golden Age Passport) if you already have one. In order to be prepared for your upcoming program, we need to collect a few meal selections in advance. The link can be found in the Recommended Websites section of your pre-program information packet. We expect it will take less than 5 minutes to complete. Please carefully review the waiver for New Wave Rafting Adventures prior to the start date of the program and reach out if you have any questions or concerns. In order to expedite the check-in process upon arrival to our field trip, all participants will need to complete and sign New Wave's waiver via a link that we will email to you approximately 20 days prior to the program start date.
United States citizens don’t need a visa for any of the countries you’ll be visiting. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.
If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Call the hotel at 907-451-6552 to request pickup from the hotel. The hotel shuttle operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The hotel will dispatch a driver once they receive a call from participants at the airport. There is no set shuttle schedule. Please note that the hotel only has one shuttle and can accommodate approximately 10 passengers. There may be a longer wait time at certain times of the day and year depending on the number of guests that will be taking this shuttle. This shuttle is open to all hotel guests. During the busy season, there may be times that the hotel may be assisting other guests checking in at the front desk or on the phone with other guests, if you are unable to reach them, please call back in a few minutes to arrange your shuttle pick up.

Road Scholar will provide one group transfer from Seward to the airport in Anchorage or to the hotel location in Anchorage at the program's conclusion. Expect to arrive at the airport in Anchorage between 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m followed by the second drop-off at the Anchorage hotel. We recommend booking flights out of Anchorage no earlier than 1:00 p.m.
