Great experience! The course was very rewarding and the instructors were interesting and inspiring. The selected hikes and mountains were both spectacular and challenging. I found that the Colorado 14ers hikes present a great resource and opportunity to experience high mountains and great trails. Though popular and well-utilized, the hikes present an opportunity for self-reflection and personal development. So many opportunities to grow! The program leaders provided good information on each hike, and ensured that participants were able to complete the routes to the best of their ability - often above the participants expectations! Hikers returned to the hotel each day exhausted but satisfied and elated.

Great program for those interested in being challenged. To enjoy it you need to be reasonably fit and prepared mentally and physically.

Wow! This was extreme adventure for the two of us. The elevation was challenging, to say the least, however we made it to the top of all 3 mountains. They just got easier and more satisfying as the week went along. Great leaders and interesting, intelligent and capable fellow participants. Highly recommended!

Outstanding program, itinerary, and staff!!! I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time. It more than met my expectations. I feel the staff truly helped and encouraged me to meet my goals of reaching hiking (and summiting) three 14,000+ foot peaks in Colorado. This was my first Road Scholar trip. I will always remember it fondly. I plan to do more!!

We attended this as a couple, and I was the non-hiking member. I liked how this program had a very challenging hike on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Then on Tuesday and Thursday the leaders took us on less strenuous activities. It was a pleasure to be able to join the group on a fabulous zip line adventure through forests, over creeks and near flowered paths. On another day we went on an educational stroll teaching us about the flora, fauna, and history of the area.

Fantastic program! The guides -- Ryan, Dan, and Ann Marie -- were highly qualified, welcoming, and resourceful. Their positive spirits were a major factor leading to the cohesiveness of our group. The variety and beauty of the hikes during the week was superb, and the acclimatization those hikes provided enabled our group to achieve 100% success in ascending Mt. Sherman on Friday. Highly recommended trip for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and is seeking a challenge. The hikes are a challenge, though, especially for someone who is not used to the altitude, so be sure to take your pre-trip physical preparation seriously!

This is a great trip! The hikes during the week build up in length and altitude to prepare you for an attempt to reach the summit of a Colorado "14er", no small feat. You really are in a place that looks like what you think of when you hear the words, "the great outdoors". Our group leaders, Ryan and AnnMarie Kirkpatrick, were thoroughly professional and fun people to be around. Rafting on the Arkansas River was a hoot!(If you've ever rode or even thought about riding one of those bull-riding machines, this might be for you. At the least, you will provide your raft mates with some laugh out loud entertainment. All good!) Good meals and conversation together in Salida at the end of the day. D.Bak, Milford,CT

Excellent experience. Both Ann Marie and Ryan were outstanding. They were organized and paid attention to details. They were flexible and great with problem solving the unexpected.

A great week with great instructors - the Kirkpatricks! Our RS group was exceptionally welcoming and encouraging of one another as we participated in physically challenging adventures each day, culminating in the exciting, rewarding climb of Mt. Sherman on the last full day. At age 73 I'm proud to report that my wife and I made it to the top!
