Alice Kinder
Alice Kinder was born the youngest of eight children, a coal miner’s daughter, in Virginia. She has been teaching English and an array of writing and literature courses for 26 years. Among research closest to her heart are the oral traditions of Appalachia, specifically how they are representative of Appalachian cultural values and are being changed by mainstream society. Alice also has a keen interest in detective fiction.
