Afternoon: Hotel check-in available after 3:30pm. 4:00pm: After checking in at the hotel front desk, come to the board room on the lower level to register with your Program Coordinator and pick up your arrival packet. Programs are planned far in advance, so local circumstances may require changes from time to time. We will notify you as quickly as possible should there be any changes and appreciate your understanding. 5:00: We begin our orientation to the program and introduce staff and members of the group. We’ll review the schedule and any updates and answer any questions you may have.

Dinner: 6:00pm: Enjoy your first meal at a nearby restaurant.

Visit the Frick Collection

Breakfast: Full buffet breakfast provided by the hotel.

Morning: Learn about the Frick Collection and its holdings from an esteemed scholar.

Lunch: We'll have lunch in the hotel before heading uptown.

Afternoon: Visit The Frick Collection, one of the preeminent small art museums in the United States, with a very high-quality collection of old master paintings and fine furniture housed in 16 galleries within the formerly occupied residential mansion. The paintings in many galleries are still arranged according to Frick's design, although additional works have been bought by the Frick Collection over the years in a manner deemed to correspond with the aesthetic of the collection. The house, furnishings and works of art are an oasis in this otherwise chaotic city.

Dinner: Dine in a restaurant near the hotel

Evening: We will plan to walk an historic, artistic neighborhood.

High Line and Whitney Museum of American Art

Breakfast: Full buffet breakfast provided in the hotel.

Morning: Walk the High Line with it's current art exhibition and works permanently on display on your way to the new Whitney Museum of American Art.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch on your own in the museum, near by or back up in the hotel/theater district if that's where your free time takes you.

Afternoon: Free time or our group leader may show you a few of the hundreds of art galleries in the Chelsea neighborhood.

Dinner: Dine on your own in one of New York's thousands of restaurants. This may be your big splurge meal or a quick bite before taking in a show.

Evening: Use the evening as you wish.

Visit the Museum of Modern Art

Morning: Learn about the Museum of Modern Art

Lunch: Lunch on your own at the museum

Evening: Visit the Museum of Arts and Design

Morning: Head uptown for a tour of the medieval Cloisters

Afternoon: Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Dinner: A voucher is provided for a meal in the Met Museum cafeteria.

Evening: Continue your visit to the Met Museum or head out on your own for your last night in the big city.
