Afternoon: Please plan to arrive at ECCO between 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Unfortunately, our staff may not be available to assist outside of those hours. After check-in, take time to relax before our get-acquainted social hour. During our social hour, we will have a short orientation time to help answer your questions and properly welcome you to our home. Dinner follows at 6:00 p.m.

Dinner: Dinner in Lyles Hall at 6:00 p.m. Dinner features a delicious main entrée of beef, chicken, fish or pasta, along with potatoes or rice, vegetables, salad bar, rolls and dessert. Please note that only one entree selection is served per meal. Dinner is served until 6:20 p.m.

Evening: After dinner, we will have the remainder of our orientation session followed by introductions and a short award-winning video, "Yosemite: A Gathering of Spirit." The balance of the evening is left free for you to relax after your day's journey. Cards, games & puzzles are available for your enjoyment.

Activity note: All experience levels, beginning to advanced, digital or film cameras, welcome.

Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. -Breakfast served in Lyles Dining hall. All meals at ECCO are served buffet style. Food options include, but are not limited to, hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, eggs, meat, starch, and bread. Our beverage bar, including coffee, is accessible 24 hours.

Morning: 9:00 a.m. - Enjoy class time with the instructor, John Boyd, a local professional photographer. The class is appropriate for beginners and advanced photographers. No matter your current ability level, you'll leave ready to capture the magnificent landscape of Yosemite. He and his wife also both offer hands-on training with your individual equipment.

Lunch: 12:00 p.m. - Lunch in Lyles Hall.

Afternoon: 1:00 p.m. - Class resumes. If weather permits, we'll take a photo walk on ECCO grounds. ECCO is situated next to a pond, alive with waterfowl, located on 160 forested acres, and a popular place to see wildlife. We are excited for you to test your skills on our ground.

Dinner: 6:00 p.m. - Dinner in Lyles Hall. Dinner features a delicious main entrée of beef, chicken, fish or pasta, along with potatoes or rice, vegetables, salad bar, rolls and dessert.

Evening: 7:00 p.m. - Evening Programs are optional, but usually highly valued as an entertaining and educational cap to the day. Presentations could range from a live animal presentation, living history performance, musical or artistic guests, or lectures on human and cultural history of the area. Our presenters are professionals who enjoy expanding guest's knowledge on Yosemite.

Yosemite Valley Photo Walk

Activity note: Bus trip to Yosemite is 30 miles each way on country roads. Approximately 3 hours of bus time today. A good amount of standing and walking is required. There is very little, if any, up or downhill walking required, however, sometimes the walking surface is a meadow, dirt, or uneven pavement.

Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. - Early breakfast in Lyles Dining Hall, to enable us to get an early start on our field trip to Yosemite Valley.

Morning: 7:45 a.m. - Board bus for Yosemite Valley. Bus departs at 8:00 a.m. or as soon as everyone is aboard. You will stop at some of the most iconic destinations on earth. Additionally, your instructors will give you an inside tour of the Valley as to get unique shots that are likely to please. Bring your creativity!

Lunch: Sack lunch in Yosemite Valley. Eat among the dramatic cliffs, domes, waterfalls.

Afternoon: 1:00 p.m. - Photo walk in Yosemite Valley with instructor. Board bus at 3:30 p.m. to return to ECCO.

Dinner: 6:00 p.m. - Dinner in Lyles Hall. After dinner, meet with your group leader to discuss the procedure for the following days' field trips.

Evening: 7:00 p.m. - Evening Programs are optional, but usually highly valued as an entertaining and educational cap to the day. Presentations could range from a live animal presentation, living history performance, musical or artistic guests, or lectures on human and cultural history of the area. Yosemite Valley Photo Walk

Breakfast: 7:15 a.m. - Breakfast in Lyles Hall.

Morning: 8:45 a.m. - Board bus for Yosemite Valley. Bus departs at 9:00 a.m. or as soon as everyone is aboard.

Lunch: Lunch will be at the Yosemite Lodge cafeteria. Enjoy many hot options and eat near the base of Yosemite Falls.

Afternoon: Take advantage of the instructor's inside knowledge of famed views in Yosemite. Likely, we will be photographing past sunset to capture the unique colors cast in Sierra Nevada range.

Dinner: At the sunset photo location, enjoy a boxed dinner provided by ECCO. Eat near your camera in case the conditions quickly become perfect to capture the "it" photo. Hot drinks are provided.

Evening: Since we'll be arriving to ECCO in the dark, likely near 8:00PM, we will not provide an evening program. Instead, feel free to do as you please for the remainder of the evening. Lyles hall will be an inviting atmosphere for you to lounge and browse your pictures.

Yosemite Valley Field Trip

Morning: 7:45 a.m. - Board bus for Yosemite Valley. Bus departs at 8:00 a.m. or as soon as everyone is aboard. This field trip is designed to give you the freedom to explore Yosemite National Park as you choose. We will drop all participants off near Yosemite Village where you can choose to explore the Ansel Adams Gallery, Indian Village, Visitors Center and so much more! Your Group Leader is more than happy to help you in planning out your free day!

Lunch: Sack Lunch in Yosemite National Park.

Afternoon: Continue your free time in the Park. Take advantage of the free shuttle system to get to and from desired destinations within Yosemite Valley, tag-a-long on a scheduled Park Ranger walk or talk (if available) or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of Yosemite! Meet bus at designated location and time for return to ECCO.

Morning: At 9:00 a.m. class convenes. This is your opportunity to show your fellow students and your instructor the photos you've taken during your stay at ECCO and your field trips to Yosemite Valley. Your instructor will critique your photos at your request.

Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - Farewell lunch in Lyles Dining Hall
