At a Glance

Kayak the tidal creeks, inlets, rivers and salt marshes of beautiful, historic Amelia Island, known as the “Isle of Eight Flags” because it has been claimed by France, Spain, England, Mexico, the Green Cross of Florida, the Patriots of Amelia Island, the Confederacy and the U.S. Enjoy an exciting day of kayaking in the protected Okefenokee Swamp, an atmospheric blackwater swamp of cypress trees, wading birds and, of course, abundant alligators. Along the way, naturalists give presentations flora and fauna, coastal birds and area history.
