We’ll have an opportunity to take part in a pre-breakfast Tai Chi session. Sitting and standing throughout the day with various activities. Optional walk outside to gather greens includes walking less than a half a mile in total over uneven surface and using pruning sheers.
In the Mayflower dining room, we will enjoy a buffet featuring choices of cold and hot cereals, bread, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, fruit bar with yogurt and granola, plus coffee, tea, water, and juice.
This morning we will stay in the Dining Room and build, decorate and finish our Gingerbread houses. All the supplies will be furnished for your creative work. During the morning there is a coffee break for you to take whenever you choose. Before lunch, we will gather in the Maintenance shop to finish our woodworking project.
We will gather in the Mayflower dining room for an early buffet with choice of a full salad bar, soup of the day, salad, sandwich, dessert, and drinks.
Following lunch, you are invited to bundle up and head outside for a short walk to the woods to collect greens for our wreath-making workshop. We will talk about the types of materials used and associated meanings. Afterward, we come into the warmth of the Meeting House to have a Sugar Cookie Decorating Class.
Dinner will be served buffet style at 5:30 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room featuring a salad bar, meat and vegetable entrée, dessert and drinks of your choice. Gluten free and special dietary menus are always available upon request.
Following dinner, enjoy additional free time sitting fireside or take advantage of the craft table where you will find supplies to make Christmas Cards, or knit scarves. All creations can be donated to a local organization to help local folks in need during the season. Snacks will be available.
