Activity note: Check into your room will involve moving your luggage to the room, making your bed and getting acquainted with the campus lay- out. Help with your luggage will be provided by staff members upon request.

Afternoon: CHECK-IN and REGISTRATION in Mayflower Lodge office centrally located on Pilgrim Pines campus beginning at 3:00-3:30 pm You will receive your room assignment and welcome packet containing an up-to-date schedule, emergency procedures, list of participants and map of campus. At the Orientation session in the evening we will review the contents of the packet and answer questions. After you get settled in your room, please join with other Road Scholars in the Dining Room for coffee and snacks.

Dinner: WELCOME DINNER will take place at 6:00 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room and will be served buffet style. Our meal will feature a full salad bar, meat and vegetable entrée, dessert and choice of drinks. Menus of special dietary needs and gluten free are available from our professional chefs upon request.

Evening: ORIENTATION - Will begin at 7:15 pm in the Dining Room following dinner. In this session you will meet your outstanding instructor for the week, Susan Pecora, along with time to review the schedule, discuss emergency and communication procedures plus begin to learn who has come to this Road Scholar program. You will also have time to set up your supplies in the Art Studio for the week. Following Orientation you are invited to the Dining Rooms for snacks, conversation, watch TV, play a table game or wind up the day that best suits your person. Following

Studio Classes, Free Studio Time, Recreational Opportunities

Activity note: Recreational opportunities will include swimming in the lake, walking around the lake, relaxing by the lake, canoeing, playing tennis as you desire.

Breakfast: Breakfast will be served from 8:00-8:45 am in the Mayflower Dining Room. featuring hot and cold cereal, scramble eggs, bacon or sausage, breads to toast, fruit bar, yogurt, granola and choices of drink, coffee, tea, milk.

Morning: Our first session will begin at 9:00 am in the Studio with an watercolour demonstration. At 10:30 am we'll have a short break. 10:45 a.m - Session two in Studio will continue with instruction and hands-on experience.

Lunch: Lunch will be served buffet style from 12:30-1:15 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room featuring soup of the day, salad bar, sandwich or hot entrée, dessert and choice of drinks.

Afternoon: After lunch there will be open studio time followed by time to enjoy a hike, canoe, play golf or be at the waterfront to relax or swim (the lake water may be cool).

Dinner: Dinner will be served buffet style at 6:00 pm in Mayflower Dining Room featuring a full salad bar, meat and vegetable entrees, dessert and choice of drinks. Alternate menus are available upon request..

Evening: 7:15 pm - Our evening schedule will include an opportunity to view some videos and work on your paintings. Following this session you are invited to the Dining Room for a snack and time to converse, watch TV, read or do a puzzle.

Studio Classes, Covered Bridges of Cheshire County, Music

Activity note: Tour of the 6 covered bridges in Cheshire County located within a 10 mile radius of Pilgrim Pines campus will be by maxi-vans. There will be photo opportunities at 3 of the covered bridges. Minimal standing or walking required.

Breakfast: Breakfast will be served from 8:00-8:45 am in the Mayflower Dining Room featuring hot and cold cereals, breads to toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit bar, yogurt, granola, coffee, tea and milk.

Morning: At 9:00 am we'll have our first studio session of the day. 10:30 AM - Break 10:45 am - Session two in Studio or out-of-door sketching/painting as weather permits..

Lunch: Lunch will be served from 12:30- 1:15 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room with delicious choice from the salad bar, homemade soup, taco salad, dessert and choice of drinks. Our professional chefs are available to prepare alternative food requests.

Afternoon: In the early afternoon we will have a session in Studio with an opportunity mid-afternoon to visit the covered bridges of Cheshire County. We have 6 covered bridges within a 10 mile radius of Pilgrim Pines. We'll have time for sketching/photos of the bridges.

Dinner: Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room featuring a full salad bar, meat and vegetable entrée, dessert, and choice of drinks. Gluten free and special dietary needs are always available upon request.

Evening: After dinner you are invited to Studio time on your own or to hear a lecture on famous painters and paintings After the lecture there will be snacks an opportunity to converse, watch TV, do a puzzle, or read.

Studio Class,Location Painting, Music for the Soul Concert

Activity note: Minimal walking or standing required for location painting that will be chosen by the weather and interest of the group/instructor. Transportation will be by maxi-van.

Breakfast: Breakfast will be served from 8:00-8:45 am in the Mayflower Dining Room featuring French toast, eggs, bacon or sausage, fruit bar, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, granola, coffee, tea and milk.

Morning: At 9:00 am we'll have our first studio session beginning with an art demonstration. for the day followed by time to work on your paintings. 10:30 AM - Enjoy some coffee, tea, along with Danish/fresh fruit to renewed your energy at the break. 10:45 am - Mid morning weather permitting we will leave for location sketching and painting at historic mill-town, Harrisville, NH, located about 30 minutes from Pilgrim Pines campus. Weather permitting. An alternate site may be chosen determined by the interest of the group. Transportation will be by maxi-vans..

Lunch: A Bag lunch will be enjoyed onsite.

Afternoon: After lunch we'll continue our location sketching and painting of the beautiful views/structures returning late afternoon to campus.

Dinner: Dinner will be at 6:00 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room featuring. After announcements and blessing for the day feast on making your own salad, enjoy the hot buffet of meat of vegetables, then conclude the meal with peach cobbler or something similar the chef has chosen. A choice of drinks are always available along with alternative menus.

Evening: This evening you are invited to enjoy a Music for the Soul concert presented by professional musicians, Ron and Cynthia Arden featuring selections from the Classics to Broadway. The evening will conclude with snacks, time to converse, watch TV, do a puzzle, or read the newspaper.

Morning: At 9:00 am we'll have our first studio session of the day which will include an art demonstration. 10:30 AM - The break today will feature homemade donuts, fresh fruit, coffee, tea or water . 10:45 am - Schedule for the day - TBA - Determined by weather, sites available, etc.

Lunch: Lunch will be served buffet style from 12:30-1:15 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room with delicious choices on the salad bar, homemade soup, sandwich choices, dessert, coffee, tea or milk. Alternative menus are always available upon request. .

Afternoon: TBA - Opportunities for painting, recreation and free time.

Dinner: Dinner at 6:00 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room will feature linens, baked potato, beef, vegetable,salad bar, and for dessert - make your own Sundae Our wine glasses are still waiting for the water to be turned into wine. Coffee, tea, milk and gluten free will be available. .

Evening: 7:15 pm Art Show - Take the opportunity to critique and share your creative work with fellow Road Scholars. After we'll have a Homespun event where Road Scholars can share their favorite story, poem, writing, creative writing, song, joke, etc At the conclusion of the evening everyone is invited to the dining room for snack, conversation, watch TV, enjoy a game or puzzle or read the newspaper of the day.

Finish painting projects - Time for questions

Activity note: Check out of rooms 10:00 am. to enable staff to prepare for the next group. Help is available with luggage upon request.

Breakfast: Breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:30 am in the Mayflower Dining Room featuring a specialty of the house, baked oatmeal. All of the other ingredients you have come to expect each morning will be available.

Morning: 8:45 am - Studio class on matting and framing including a teaching session. . 9:45 am - Check out of Rooms 10:30 am - Wrap-up Session.

Lunch: Farewell luncheon, 12:15 pm in the Mayflower Dining Room. Box lunches will be provided for those who need to leave the program before it concludes at noon. Thank you for choosing this Road Scholar program and for he privilege of hosting you at Pilgrim Pines.
