Fantastic program. The three levels of activity "Mellow, Moderate and Motivated" provided options for every hiking ability. Company of Adventures provided outstanding guides and the scenery and hiking were breathtaking and "bucket list" worthy.

Amazing guides, spectacular scenery and a choice every day of how strenuous you want to make it and where you want to go. This is a real hiking program with knowledgeable, skilled mountain guides. If you like to shop and stroll, this is not the program for you! Highly recommend.

What a thrilling week of hiking in the Canadian Rockies! Our group leaders from Company of Adventurers were so organized, welcoming and fun. Excellent lectures were given on our bus rides as we traveled from Canmore to begin our treks each day. Thank you to my fellow participants and leaders for a memorable adventure.

Amazing trip with stunning scenery and great hiking. Each day was organized so that we could choose the level of hiking that suited us. Do not be afraid of the elevation. The guides were fantastic at pacing and helping us get to the top if we chose to do so. Best part of the trip was hiking in the snow on the last day with a great group of people and guides who were so incredibly enthusiastic. Highly recommend this trip.

This program was over-the-top wonderful! The hiking, the organization, the group leader, the hike captains: from these perspectives the among the best of the RS programs I've attended (13) Bernie, our friendly drill sergeant and daily advisor made sure every event was punctual, the communication among the guides was thorough, safety concerns were discussed in detail and provided for, lodging was perfect. The daily choices of mellow, moderate, and motivated hikes meant the individual groups mere well matched according to abilities or daily attitudes. All our time was respected and occupied: all the lectures during the bus transfers to the trail heads and were uniformly informative. All of the hike captains: Doug, Pablo, Liza, Kritrina, and Bernie were exceptional. Their lectures on the bus were well-presented and very informative and they were outstanding on the trails and attentive to the various abilities and endurance of the members.

The program is full of great educational and hiking experiences in breath-taking beautiful scenery. I loved every minute of it. Wish I started traveling with Road Scholar 20 years ago but am working on our next trip now.

This was a wonderful program in every way - well organized and well executed, with knowledgeable friendly guides and a high guide-to-guest ratio. I particularly liked the availability of three different levels of hiking pace at each trailhead and the fact that the size of the group I hiked with each day was small. I also liked being based at the same hotel for all 6 nights and the comfortable bus (with interesting lecture en route) to a different trailhead each day. The food was also first rate.

Participants need to be in good physical condition to do the hikes, since both the length and elevation changes can be considerable, depending on the hike chosen.

Yoho! (Cree expression of wonder and awe) What a great experience with probably the most congenial group of people I've ever traveled with (I wonder if it because we share a love of hiking). Company of Adventurers did an outstanding job organizing this trip. I was especially impressed with their ability to handle various hiking abilities and breaking the big group down into small groups. The guides were kind, knowledgeable, and worked well together. With humor and skill they educated, entertained, and motivated. A major fire was happening nearby which necessitated some schedule changing; they handled this so well, didn't miss a beat and still managed to provide a fantastic trip. This is their first season staying at Coast Canmore Hotel and this place is a real winner. We had very good food at the Coast, and really outstanding dinners at several nearby places. Two that stand out in particular are The Station and Communitea Cafe. Shout out to Bryce, Bernie, Harold, Veronica, Becky, and Rob, the driver, for creating a never-to-be-forgotten adventure.

You have to get off the road and out of your car to appreciate the Canadian Rockies. This program not only includes hiking at your ability level, but opens your eyes to a complete experience of this iconic and beautiful place.

Not being a tour type of person, I was a bit skeptical about taking a Road Scholar trip. However, the Canadian Rockies trip made a believer out of me. It was very well organized, the hikes were wonderful and well-chosen and the guides and tour leaders were so well informed. I could have never had such a complete experience traveling on my own. The educational component, the choice of restaurants and the locations of the hikes could have only been done by someone who knows the area well. I would highly recommend this trip.

This was a fantastic experience for my first Road Scholar tour and will be hard to beat. Of course the Canadian Rockies scenery was spectacular but it was really the top notch guides from Company of Adventurers that made this trip superb. Bryce, Harold, Becky and Veronica were all friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to make all aspects of this tour comfortable and fun. The three different levels of hiking difficulty met the needs of all participants. I learned a lot about geology, animals, plants, the parks and Canada in general. If I wasn't a patriotic American, I would love to be Canadian. YOHO!

My visit to the Canadian Rockies was truly extraordinary. All aspects of the trip exceeded my expectations. The mountains and sights were breathtaking, hikes were well graded, team leaders were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, professional, caring and made the trip "top value". Hotel was fine and food outstanding. Transportation excellent. Would recommend this trip without hesitation.

We took the Glacier hiking trip two years ago and just finished the Canadian Rockies hiking. Both were well organized and beautiful scenery. The hikes in the Canadian Rockies were a bit more challenging given higher elevation gains. However, both trips provided 3 levels of hikes each day so there are choices.

This was a tremendous trip and exceeded my expectations. It was so well run and the hikes, food, learning experiences, accommodations and people in my group were fantastic. And it's hard to beat the scenery in the Canadian Rockies. But most of all, the guides were exceptional, knowledgable and very fun! Hats off to Bryce, Becky, Jack, Harold and our bus driver, Rob--they really made the trip so special!

Fabulous 5 days of hiking in the beautiful Canadian Rockies, with guides who are not only knowledgeable and extremely competent, but also very passionate about sharing this part of the world with guests. Despite less-than-ideal weather at times, we hiked some gorgeous trails amidst fabulous scenery, learned a lot about the area's history, geology, flora and fauna, and ate very well, too!!

This was an absolutely beautiful experience! Amazing scenery and well planned-out hikes, awesome guides, and interesting programs! The only drawback was the emphasis on "evolution" as fact, in the development of the landscape and our origin as human beings; this is a theory! Be prepared to hear this emphasis.

We just finished the Canadian Rockies program and loved it! First of all, the Canadian Rockies are breathtakingly beautiful! I will definitely be back for more. The hiking was energetic and fun and around every corner we were treated to beautiful views, waterfalls, lakes, wildlife and fauna. Although I do not always like tour groups this large (24 participants), since we were divided into groups for the hiking portions, the groups were manageable and intimate. The lectures were given on the bus on the way to the trailheads by our knowledgeable and entertaining guides which made the travel time go quickly and was a fun way to learn. And the views from the windows of the tour bus could not be beat. There was a small amount of free time to explore Banff and Lake Louise and we had one evening free in Canmore. It felt like the perfect amount of free time to me. The food was excellent and just the right amount. The hotel was adequate. It had great wifi and a welcoming lobby with a roaring fire and a great view. The nightly happy hour was also a welcome event after our daily hikes. We could grab a glass of complimentary wine as we came in. The only thing I would improve is the actual rooms, which need a little updating, especially the bathrooms. However, that does not keep me from strongly recommending this trip to anyone who wants a stimulating and envigorating experience in the Rockies!

The Canadian Rockies experience via Road Scholar was both inspirational and educational, particularly for the hiker who thrives on geology, history and natural beauty. It rivals the Austrian Alps and the Italian Dolemites as our favorite trekking journey.

This well organized hiking trip exceeded my expectations in every way. The scenery was stunning, the group leaders were competent and knowledgable and could not do enough for us. I recommend the trip highly.

The BEST hiking adventure ever due to the fact that participants were offered three levels of difficulty--Mellow, Moderate, and Motivated. The groups were flexible to allow participants to move to a different level depending upon the day. We had four top-notched guides working with 23 participants. I HIGHLY recommend this program--you won't be disappointed.

The program was a lot more challenging than I thought, due mostly to the altitudes. However, the guides were very accommodating to everyone

The program delivered everything it promised. One recommendation, train for the mountain day hiking wearing a 10+ pound backpack so you can get the maximum enjoyment from the experience.

This was my second Roads Scholar trip. It was amazing, as was my first one to the Grand Canyon. Both The Canadian Rockies and the Grand Canyon offered amazing scenery and challenging hikes. both experiences were enhanced by the quality of the guides and their well designed programs and wonderful presentations.

This was an excellent adventure! Wonderful, knowledgeable guides, interesting hikes, amazing natural beauty. The ability of participants to select from a low, medium, or higher level intensity hike each day allowed us each to choose a comfortable challenge.
