Great trip, nice people, great food and lovely scenery in the boundary waters of northern Minnesota! I would like to do it all again and especially to improve my paddling skills in a special part of the country. If you like hearing loons at night, this is the place to go to enjoy the quiet of a rustic cabin by the lake.

An excellent program. A beautiful location and some of the most enjoyable accommodations and meals I have experienced in Road Scholar programs. Excellent instruction in canoeing for canoeists of all levels of experience and friendly, approachable instructors.

Beautiful lakeside setting with spectacular sunsets. Wake up to the sounds of nature. You may be fortunate enough to see the northern lights. Two bald eagle nests on the property. Outstanding leaders take care of your every need. Beautiful canoe trips, wonderful hikes. Interesting side trips. Tasty, healthy food at local restaurants. This is a true vacation from the stress and worries of the world. Treat yourself.

This was a beautiful experience, outstanding all the way around. The leaders are great, very knowledgeable and organized and fun to be with. Meals are excellent. The cabins are 'rustic' (meaning, college student housing with bunk beds) but you are right on the lake with a beach and amazing views. And there's a bald eagle nest right outside your door! Highly recommend.

I had a Great time!! This was my first Road Scholar trip and I can not imagine being so Happy with all the trips !! Road Scholar set my expectations very high for future trips!! This trip had excellent leaders and great food and was a beautiful outdoor experience - if you needed help they were there!! But if wanted to enjoy the sounds of the loons or the beautiful sunsets over the lake all this was possible!

The cabins were like being in camp. Fun. Clean and serviceable. There are mosquitos sharing the week with you. Bring bug spray. The scenery is breathtaking. The sunsets on the lake were spectacular. The guides and others in charge were kind, accommodating, flexible and professional. And fun!! There were always someone or more of them with us. You could not find a nicer group to be with.

My first RS trip exceeded my expectations. It helped that the area was so amazingly beautiful (even with bugs). The organizer, Chris, and guides,Heather and Wade, were friendly, flexible, accommodating, knowledgeable, lots of fun and terrific leaders. Thank you to my group and all who made the trip such a memorable one!

Even though I am a native Minnesotan, I am sincerely grateful for the insight to the wild nature of the Boundary Waters by the Road Scholar program leaders.

Our trip to the Boundary Waters was exceptional on many levels. Every day was celebrated with canoeing or hiking surrounded by beauty. It was great enjoying good food and interesting conversation with our group. Our leaders were knowledgeable and fun too! Both my husband and myself felt refreshed and renewed.

The guides, Wade and Heather are some of the finest people I ever met in all the programs I have attended 30 plus. Anyone who does this program will enjoy it, the accommodations need to be improved drastically.
