Afternoon: Hotel check-in between 3 and 4 pm. Orientation and dinner will begin at 5:00 pm so that the group will be able to attend the evening's concert.

Evening: We will walk to the Breckenridge Theater to attend a concert: "TANGO & FANDANGO": Aniello Desiderio, guitar; Classical guitar music with a Mediterranean flair! Morning: NOTE: Our daily schedule may change in order of the events listed on this itinerary. We will include the activities but they may be done on alternate days or times. We join the Summit Historical Society on a guided walk through Breckenridge's nationally recognized Historic District. Learn about historic businesses and personalities and view several of the earliest buildings in town, from log cabins to stately residences. Along the way, we will hear stories about the gold seekers, hardy souls, and socialites who lived in Breckenridge more than 100 years ago.

Lunch: Box Lunch

Afternoon: This afternoon we will begin our introduction to the Music Festival with lectures and guided walks-presentations.

Dinner: Dinner tonight is at a popular local restaurant.

Evening: We will walk to the River Walk Center to attend a concert: "AN EVENING WITH BRANFORD MARSALIS" The acclaimed saxophonist performs with his Grammy-nominated jazz quartet. Leader of one of the finest jazz quartets today, and a frequent soloist with classical ensembles, Marsalis with the band members feature the song taking center stage while bringing their considerable musical expertise to bear focusing on the tune and not the individual musicians.

Morning: Today, we take a journey back in time to Breckenridge's hard rock mining era with an expert guide. Walk underground for a first-hand mining experience and then learn to pan for gold. What you find is yours to keep! Once gold and silver were discovered in Summit County, hundreds of underground mines sprang up in Breckenridge and the surrounding region. In the mid-1880s, the Washington was one of the area’s largest gold and silver mines, with five main shafts and over 10,000 feet of underground workings.

Afternoon: This afternoon we continue our discovery of the Music Festival with lectures and guided walks-presentations.

Dinner: Dinner is on own to enjoy the varied cuisine of Breckenridge.

Evening: We will walk to the River Walk Center to attend a concert: "UNBOUND BAROQUE" by the Festival Orchestra and the Wonderbound Dance Company; Sensuality mingles with decadent humor in this charming production that blends the music of great Baroque composers, Vivaldi and Tartini, performed with contemporary dance. The Festival Orchestra provides the set and the music for the evening of ballet.

Lunch: Lunch today is on own to enjoy the historic downtown Breckenridge

Afternoon: Afternoon free to explore the Historic Downtown or enjoy walking the many easy trails.

Dinner: Dinner tonight is at a popular local restaurant.
