We’ll have an opportunity to take part in a pre-breakfast Tai Chi session that promotes strength, balance, and peace of mind. Getting in and out of a bus. Driving approximately 3 hours, about 120 miles. Walking for visit with short intervals of standing. Walking up a few stairs.
At 8:00 a.m. in the Mayflower Dining Room, the breakfast buffet offers choices such as scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, hot and cold cereals, fruit bar with yogurt and granola, bread for toast, milk, juice, coffee, tea, water.
We will travel to Concord, New Hampshire by bus to spend time with the state's Major Crime Unit and explore the equipment used to map out crime scenes. After a refreshment break, we will continue exploring real world examples of the Major Crime Unit including some select cases.
We will have a bagged lunch today, prepared by kitchen staff at Pilgrim Pines that will include sandwiches, coffee, tea, water, chips and fresh fruit.
This afternoon, we head back to Pilgrim Pines after a visit to the New Hampshire State House. We return back to Pilgrim Pines in mid-afternoon, where we will be met by one of the K-9 units from the state to meet the team and talk about their work and training searching for people, drugs and explosives around the state.
At 6:00 p.m. in the Mayflower Dining Room, we’ll have a buffet dinner with a full salad bar, meat and vegetable entrées, dessert, and beverage choice of coffee, tea, water.
We end our day exploring the science of blood stains with one of the state's leading experts. The evening will conclude with a light snack in the Dining Room along with opportunities to discuss the day or relax and join other Road Scholars in a variety of activities.
