Our leader, Jackie and our bus driver, Frank, were great! Instructors, Robert Oswald and Frank Helling were outstanding. Although I was tired, Mr. Helling's performance: "An Evening with John Muir" was thoroughly enjoyed. I was disappointed that we did not visit Sequoia National Park visitor's center, due to time constraints. The next day, we enjoyed a picnic lunch by Grizzly Falls, which was a pretty spot, but not enough places to sit. Our accomodations went from the rustic Montecito Lodge, where I survived one night without heat, to the fancy Tenaya Lodge. What a difference! Although I signed up to see four spectacular National Parks, the Manzanar Historic site, was an unexpected highlight for me. All in all, the trip was an adventure which provided many "stories" to share with my friends. I can't wait till my next Road Scholar program!

This was a wonderful trip to some of America's crown jewels. Everyone would enjoy it. We spent quite a bit of time on the bus, but this was the result of the geography rather than a flaw in planning.

We have been on 6 trips with Road Scholar in the past 4 years. They are so through that we have decided that all of our major vacations we take in the future will be with Road Scholar. It is a huge learning experience as you not only see the beauty of GOD's creation but you learn all about it from qualified instructors and leaders. If you haven't tried it. DO. You will not regret it. Charlie Anderson, NC

Four Jewels will thrill you! Four National Parks and some side trips to amazing sites. First time I've gotten up prior to dawn to see the sun rise over mountains and dunes! What a joy to see all these parks and historical sites.

We enjoyed our visit to the varied national parks of CA. Had some amazing experiences, such as seeing Death Valley, and, as usual on a Road Scholar trip, we learned many new things and met interesting people. If you want deluxe accommodations, this is not the trip for you but, if you want to see a lot in a week and learn something new, then visit the Four Jewels.

This program is a great introduction to these 4 California National Parks.I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about these parks and this area of California. I find I can't wait to go back for a more in depth visit to Yosemite.

This was my first rs trip. Mino Anderson was our guide and John Jackson was the bus driver. What a great team! They were both intimately familiar with the vast area we travelled, and just seemed to work so well together as a team. I This was a big bucket list trip for me, and I certainly had the best trip I could possibly have, thanks to the quality of every aspect of the rs trip. Laura zimmerman

The Four Jewel Program is a wonderful visit to these famous Parks with guides who add the educational focus and issues from the past as well as the current ecology, impacts and reasons to preserve these incredible parks. This is well worth your time and money.
