Our leader, Jackie and our bus driver, Frank, were great! Instructors, Robert Oswald and Frank Helling were outstanding. Although I was tired, Mr. Helling's performance: "An Evening with John Muir" was thoroughly enjoyed.
I was disappointed that we did not visit Sequoia National Park visitor's center, due to time constraints. The next day, we enjoyed a picnic lunch by Grizzly Falls, which was a pretty spot, but not enough places to sit.
Our accomodations went from the rustic Montecito Lodge, where I survived one night without heat, to the fancy Tenaya Lodge. What a difference!
Although I signed up to see four spectacular National Parks, the Manzanar Historic site, was an unexpected highlight for me. All in all, the trip was an adventure which provided many "stories" to share with my friends. I can't wait till my next Road Scholar program!
