Discover strengths, honor potential, share dreams, conquer fears and exchange the wisdom of shared experiences. In a harness and supportive environment: climb a rock bluff, rappel from a cliff, swing like Tarzan on a zip line and solve problems cooperatively in a ropes course. Journey by canoe to Swan Bay for an (optional) overnight camp-out.

Rye Green
Rye Green first came to Strathcona Park Lodge as a student in our Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training program in 2002, where he trained to be an outdoor leader. Since then he has worked regularly at the lodge as an instructor, also spending time as a youth worker at the Victoria Native Friendship Center and as a wilderness guide for Camp Chief Hector. Rye is one of our most experienced instructors and also brings extensive knowledge on extended wilderness canoeing, First Nations culture, building eco sensitive housing- along with his ukulele and singing voice!
