At a Glance

Come venture across Alaska's landscape and learn about challenges and rewards that come with living in the North! Arrive in Fairbanks to rest and relax before taking the train to Denali. In Denali we'll learn about the subarctic landscape and the wildlife that makes this place home. Be ready to test your new wildlife knowledge as we explore both the park's trail system and Denali's breath-taking park road on all day adventures. Throughout the week we'll stretch our legs and our brains as we head out onto Denali's front country trails.
Activity Level
Outdoor: No Sweat
Getting on/off buses, motorcoaches, and trains throughout the program. Walking up to three miles daily on terrain that will vary; from paved town walking to maintained gravel trails. Trails may have roots, rocks, uneven ground, and/or short sections of wet terrain. Elevations change for hikes may vary but will generally range from 500-1,500 feet total.
