At a Glance

Students will create nine to ten hand-made books using paste paper technique and suminagashi. The books will take different forms such as accordion, scroll, oriental bindings and self-bound books. Paste paper will be used to create interesting and unusual backgrounds. Suminagashi, an ancient form of paper marbling using inks and water, will be explored.
