Activity note: Hotel Check-In/Program Registration 3:00 p.m.. Dinner 5:00-6:00 p.m. Orientation 6:30 p.m..

Afternoon: Hotel Check-In/Program Registration begin at 3:00 p.m.. You will receive your welcome packet containing your name-tag, up-to-date schedule that reflects any last-minute changes, and other important information. If you arrive late, this packet will be available at the Orientation meeting held at 6:30 p.m. in Holt Lodge first floor meeting room.

Dinner: Served cafeteria style in Lake View Dining Hall. 5:00-6:00 p.m..

Evening: Orientation begins at 6:30 p.m.. The Group Leader will greet everyone and lead introductions. WE will review the up-to-date program schedule discuss roles and responsibilities, logistics, safety guidelines, emergency procedures and answer questions. Periods in the daily schedule designated as "Free time" or "At Leisure" offer opportunities to do what you like and make your experience even more meaningful and memorable. The Group Leader will be happy to offer suggestions. Program activities, schedules, personnel and indicated distances or times may change due to local circumstances/conditions. In the event of changes, we will alert you as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Breakfast: Served in Lake View Dining Hall from 7:30-8:15 a.m..

Morning: The instructor will begin with student introductions; then proceed to an instructional lecture to include a history on carving, safety issues, carving techniques and finishing. Students will then select a carving project and wood to begin.

Lunch: Served in Lake View Dining Hall from 12:00-1:15 p.m..

Afternoon: Returning to class, we will continue on our selected projects with the instructor working one-on-one to answer questions and assist with techniques.

Dinner: Served in Lake View Dining Hall from 5:00-6:00 p.m...

Evening: Evening activities will begin at 630 p.m. with students gathering in the first floor meeting room of Holt Lodge. From there we will board a bus and travel a short distance to downtown Ripley where we will go to the Historic Alpine Theater for a lecture on it's history and revitalization. We will then be treated to a classic movie. Popcorn will be served!

Breakfast: Served in Lake View Dining Hall from 7:30-8:15 a.m.

Morning: Class will begin with a review of wood selection, carving techniques and finishes. We will continue to work on our selected projects.

Lunch: Served in Lake View Dining Hall from 12:00-1:00 p.m..

Afternoon: Following lunch we will have a show and tell of projects. Each student will talk about the project and the challenges in getting just the right touch.

Dinner: Served in Lake View Dining Hall from 5:00-6:00 p.m..

Evening: Open Studio 6:30 p.m.. At leisure our classes will be open for additional time in the studio with the instructor present to assist.

Evening: Entertainment begins at 7:00 PM.

Morning: Day five will find us completing many beginning projects and moving on to start a new project under the direction of the instructor..

Lunch: Served in Lake View Dining Hall from 12:00-1:00 p.m..

Afternoon: We will continue after lunch to work on the new projects begun in the morning class.

Dinner: We will come together for dinner in the side dining room of the Lake View Dining Hall from 5:00-6:00 p.m.. During this time we will share experiences from our week with each class member.

Evening: At 6:30 p.m., following our dinner we will travel as a group to the Craft House for an Open Studio Tour. Each teacher will be present to talk about the experience of the week and students will display their finished projects.

Morning: We will put finishing touches on our projects. Our instructor will offer further ideas and techniques we can use as we continue carving at home.

Lunch: Served in Lake View Dining Hall from 12:00-1:00 p.m. If you need to get on the road, let the Program Coordinator know and a brown bag lunch will be prepared for you.
