Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute (YLI) is a vital component of Clemson’s youth outreach effort and helps fulfill the University’s mission of public service by using the research and knowledge of University faculty and staff to develop programs that especially reach youth. More than 100,000 young people participate annually in over 100 programs held at our leadership centers, ranging from one-day school training to two-week residential programs. Outdoor venues like historic Hagood Mill, Lake Jocassee and Devils Fork State Park are within a short driving distance for day trips. Top-notch facilities combined with a knowledgeable, friendly staff make the Youth Learning Institute Education Center the perfect place for a Road Scholar program. The Center is situated on 33 acres with a view of Table Rock Mountain, this multi-use facility offers much more than meets the eye including classrooms, meeting spaces, technology lab, pottery center and music studio.
