Afternoon: Become familiar with your surroundings and meet each other during this welcoming ceremony.

Dinner: Enjoy dinner at the Youth Learning Institute's Headquarters dining facility.

Evening: Photography Lecture

Activity note: Walking and carrying camera equipment

Breakfast: A hot breakfast will be served.

Morning: Board the bus and travel to Jones Gap State Park. This is an 11,000 acre park of mountain woodlands and is part of the Mountain Bridge Wilderness area. From here we will load the bus and travel to Campbell's covered bridge, which is the only remaining covered bridge in SC

Lunch: A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at Jones Gap State Park

Afternoon: Spend the afternoon photographing Falls Creek Park.

Dinner: We will enjoy a picnic dinner at Falls Creek

Evening: After dinner, we will continue in Falls Creek Park for a night time photography shoot!

Activity note: Walking and carrying camera equipment

Breakfast: Enjoy a continental breakfast before we depart for the sunrise shoot.

Morning: Your photographic experience will begin with a sunrise shoot at Caesar's Head State Park that provides a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Escarpment and Table Rock Mountain. Then travel just down the road to Pretty Place where you can continue to enjoy the morning sun.

Lunch: At breakfast, you will make your own bag lunch. That way, you'll get just what you want. We'll enjoy that lunch at Table Rock State Park

Afternoon: Table Rock State Park is next on the itinerary. Table Rock State Park provides a towering backdrop for an Upcountry retreat at the edge of the Blue Ridge Escarpment. The 3,083 acre park includes trails where photographers can wonder.

Dinner: A hot dinner will be served at the dining facility

Evening: Photography workshop

Activity note: Walking and carrying camera equipment

Breakfast: Enjoy a breakfast buffet with coffee, tea, and juice prior to departure.

Morning: Load the bus and drive to Stumphouse tunnel and Issaqueena Falls where we will photograph the falls from a vintage point. We will then load the bus and drive to the Eastatoe Valley and visit twin falls (Eastatoe Falls).

Lunch: Lunch will be served in the dininig room before heading out for the afternoon.

Afternoon: We will photograph twin falls in the Eastatoe Valley. After lunch we will load the bus and travel to Chau Ram Park where we will have time to photograph the beautiful falls located in the area. From Chau Ram Park we will load the bus and travel to McKinney Park in Woodruff.

Dinner: Enjoy an evening meal and discuss your accomplishments with your fellow participants

Evening: Enjoy viewing everyone's photographs. These photographs will comprise the CD the instructor will develop after the program. The CD will be mailed to participants.

Boat Trip on Lake Jocassee, Upper falls,SC Botanical Garden

Activity note: Walking and carrying camera equipment

Breakfast: A breakfast buffet will be served with coffee,tea, and juice.

Morning: Board the shuttle and travel to Lake Jocassee where we will enjoy a two hour boat tour of the Lake where we will photograph waterfalls on the Lake itself. After, we will board the bus and drive to NC where we will photograph the Upper Whitewater Falls. We will then load the bus and drive to Clemson University where we will explore the SC Botanical Gardens. Here you will explore and photograph Clemson's Botanical Garden. The South Carolina Botanical Garden is over 200 acres of beautiful blooms, plants, and landscapes. The botanical garden is home to an official American Hosta Society Display Garden, and a 70-acre arboretum.

Lunch: During our visit to The SC Botanical Gardem, we'll enjoy the bag lunches we made at breakfast.

Afternoon: Continue to enjoy photographing the beautiful campus of Clemson University

Dinner: Dinner will be served at YLI's Headquarters.

Evening: Photographs will be collected from each participant. The instructor will put together a show featuring those photographs. Each participant will receive a CD of those pictures.

Sassafras Mountain, Sign Barn, Program Concludes

Breakfast: A hot breakfast will be featured.

Morning: Board the bus for your last day of activities.Q On our way to Sassafras Mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountain range, SC. We will then board the bus to drive down the mountain where we will photograph the sign barn. We will then head to Pickens and our institute where we will have lunch and the program will conclude.

Lunch: After the morning field trip we will enjoy lunch at the Pickens institute facility.
