At a Glance

Penguins and polar bears, ice sheets and sea ice, seals, whales and indigenous human populations. Antarctica and the Arctic are so very different, yet have many parallels. The polar regions are arguably the last and greatest remaining wildernesses on the planet. Jamie Watts is an expedition leader and marine biologist with over 200 polar expeditions under his belt. This presentation looks at the wildlife, landscapes and human footprints on these two regions, and our stewardship of these magnificent, rich, fragile regions.
