At a Glance

The Aegean Sea is an arm of the Mediterranean Sea, located between the Greek peninsula on the west and Asia Minor on the east. Because of its geographical position and physical formation, with its hundreds of various-sized islands, the Aegean was the “chief” sea of the Ancient Greeks. Join historian Eleni Petroutsou to study the Aegean as a primordial place of the Greek civilization.
