Want to view lectures that don't feel at all like lectures? These sessions are captivating. In fact, they are over LONG before you are ready for them to end!

I thought I'd be learning about the race, but there was so much more beyond that! There was information and pictures and video about the mushers and the dogs and the training - beyond what I ever considered to be a part of this great race! Thank you so much for offering this presentation by such an outstanding, experienced presenter.

Twenty years ago, as a fourth grade teacher, I developed a teaching unit on the Iditarod. So even though I had studied about the Iditarod as a teacher, I learned so much from your on-line instructor! She was indeed an expert and I can't imagine you finding anyone more well qualified to take us on a virtual tour! I remember Jeff King from when I taught. He was a star then, and still is! Now I know many of the things he did to prepare, innovate, race, and win the Iditarod! Thank you for an amazing tour!

akshully! I have not looked at the site since 1.6 BC (Before Covid), but as I'm psyching myself up to consider actually getting on a plane or bus, or getting into a crowd, "I'll Be Back".

This program is an excellent overview of the history of the race, but also tells about how the dogs are raised and chosen, and gives insight into what the mushers have to do to prepare and race. A wonderful presenter who is extremely familiar with Alaska.

I grew up taking educational trips with my family during summer vacations and that love of learning has continued throughout my life. Road Scholar has made my domestic, international, and from-home learning journeys both enriching and memorable. Thank you, Road Scholar!

The Iditarod program offered a remarkable sense of "being there." Jerri Roberts did not teach...she shared what she knows so well and obviously loves. Delight experience of an amazing event.
