The group leader was excellent, knowledgable and kind. I got sick and had to go home. The doctor onboard was horrendous, cruel, and mean. The nurse was her opposite. I got charged for this, and will never go on another cruise. AON has been slow and resistant to resolving my claim. My 2019 trip to Japan was outstanding in all respects. Please drop the cruise line American Queen Voyages!!

The Alaska program fulfilled all of our hopes and more. It did push us to our limits physically, but a very supportive staff helped us rise to the challenge. A wonderful group of fellow-travelers and exceptionally good weather further enhanced our experience.

Fabulous trip! The ship was perfect: roomy cabins, great viewing platforms inside and out; friendly staff; wide choice of foods. Very informative presentations by our group leader and by ship staff and shore excursions on a wide variety of topics--art, native culture, flora and fauna, glaciers and global warming, history and maritime law. I liked the small size of the ship. If you want casinos, boutiques, and shows, go on one of those big monster cruise ships. If you want an unforgettable learning experience, the Ocean Victory ship is for you. And a very congenial Road Scholar group! I highly recommend this trip.

The Ocean Victory Expedition ship was the most unique vessel I have ever traveled upon. Small and extremely beautiful. There are presently free such ship afloat. More like touring on a yacht. I would take any voyage on this one.

Wonderful way to see the Alaskan inside passage. I loved kayaking with the sea otters and mini ice burgs by the Glacier. The expedition crew was enthusiastic and made sure everyone enjoyed their outings. The lectures were informative and fun. All the staff on the ship went out of their way to meet our needs. The food was fabulous and I really enjoyed the hot tub on deck 7. Our Road Scholar guide was from Sitka and shared her prospective on both Seattle and The Alaskan SE area. Highly recommend this trip, esp. for those who want to avoid the big cruise ships.
