Journey through Canadian history as you hike along a Canadian Heritage River and through two UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves to diverse communities like Hamilton and Toronto. Learn about the days when the Iroquois Confederacy reigned as you paddle along the Grand River and discover the historic towns lining its riverbanks. Hike a portion of the famous 550-mile Bruce Trial within the Niagara Escarpment to one of Ontario’s most dramatic waterfalls. On the shores of Lake Erie, experience life in small-town Canada in Port Rowan and visit Long Point Bay — known for its spectacular birdlife — on this outdoor adventure in Canada!

This program offers two activity levels to choose from on every departure date: one that has less walking at a slower pace and/or with less elevation gain and another at a more active pace. Canoeing on two days.

Educated in chemical engineering, he left a career as an executive in the paint industry to start Grand Experiences and pursue his passion of providing outdoor adventure for visitors from across the world. Jamie trains other canoe instructors and specializes in instructional trips for clients. When not paddling, Jamie spends time with his wife Lisa and their four children in the village of Scotland in South Central Ontario.
