Aboard the ship. The Lido Restaurant is cafeteria-style for breakfast and offers dishes such as cooked-to-order omelets, pancakes, fresh fruits, cereals, yogurts, fresh-squeezed orange juice, coffee, tea, water.
We'll board tenders and take them ashore in Bar Harbor, Maine. Upon arrival to Bar Harbor, we will walk a few blocks to board a trolley that will take us on a field trip through Acadia National Park. We’ll stop at Thunder Hole where, under the right conditions, the sea sends flumes of spray skyward and produces a booming sound. We’ll also visit the glacially carved Jordan Pond, which is nestled between mountains and features a gorgeous view of the Bubbles— rounded twin peaks rising out of the water on the north end of the pond. Finally, we'll enjoy a scenic drive up Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the eastern seaboard of the United States. When the serpentine summit road was built in the 1930s, it was considered the best-engineered mountain road in the world. From the summit, we’ll marvel at the 360-degree panorama.
In Acadia National Park at Jordon Pond House, we’ll have a plated lunch with soft drinks, juice, water; other beverages available for purchase.
