At a Glance

On an expedition inspired by legendary Viking explorer Erik the Red — who crossed the North Atlantic more than one thousand years ago — discover the fjords, glaciers and local communities of Greenland and Iceland. Explore the lands of the ancient Icelandic parliament in Thingvellir National Park before comparing the icy hues of the UNESCO-listed IIlulissat Icefjord to the brightly-colored waterfront of Nuuk, Greenland’s capital. Each step of the way, discover mirror-like bays overflowing with icebergs and watch for wildlife — humpback and fin whales, seals, reindeer, musk oxen and prolific birdlife — that thrives in a world suspended in time.
