Venice is an amazing city. There was a time that I believed that this location should be on everyone’s bucket list. Just be aware of the potential for devastating flooding and over-tourism in this beautiful city.

This program went well beyond my expectations. A truly wonderful experience.

Great tour leader and city guide. Both provided very informative daily lectures and walks. This was a wonderful independent trip of Venice. Had been there several times in the past for 2-3 days each, but this offered the opportunity to actually shop and find out of way restaurants, revisit museums and update my past photos of the sights of Venice. Priceless spending ME time on Lido, and exploring all areas of the city in depth. Even stayed an 3 extra days to take in a Jazz concert and leisurely train ride to Verona.

This was our first Road Scholar trip and we found it very rewarding. Overall the program is well organized with a good balance of independent exploration and expert-led lectures and excursions. The field trips provide insight into the Venetian culture that you would not likely experience when touring on your own.
