Join us for an exclusive, Road Scholar-only week of creativity at Snow Farm: The New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA! Discover the boundless potential of glass as you create projects ranging from plates to bowls to jewelry. Learn the fundamentals of glass work, from fusing and slumping to surface decoration, with applications for both sculptural and functional forms. With emphasis on the creative process, beginners will be instructed through the process step by step, and those with experience will learn new techniques and tricks. We’ll cap off the week with a student art show and wine-and-cheese reception!

The Retreat Difference: The unique experience at a Road Scholar Retreat includes opportunities for early morning exercise, interaction with the local community for insight into local life, an authentic farm-to-table or locally sourced meal, a live performance or event, and a single room to yourself for only $100 more (for many programs). Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Paula Kochanek
Paula Kochanek is a glass artist who has been making and selling her work since 1986. She began designing and executing large stained glass panels and lamps for a stained glass store in Framingham, Mass. Since then, she has studied fusing and sandblasting. Paula's main focus is now on fused glass and she is continually learning new techniques to share with her students. Her love of gardening and the beauty of the sea inspire Paula's original designs.
