This program is one of the best learning experiences of my life. Ruth Polling and Adam Edwards are exceptional leaders. Everything was so well-organized that I could just focus on London's fascinating story without worrying about logistical details.

I have just returned from an amazing tour of London, my first Road Scholar trip, called "The Story of a City." It was an amazing experience covering the 2000 year history of this great city. Road Scholar provided the most detailed and professional pre-trip material I have ever seen. The Program Instructor was phenomenal with incredibly extensive knowledge and wonderful presentation skills. The Group Leader was always available and so very helpful and caring. All the sites we visited were fascinating and tied into the history of London perfectly. Even our hotel had a fabulous location. I was very happy I went and look forward to my next Road Scholar adventure!

A wonderful program with an outstanding Tour Guide. You will learn much from this program, and enjoy it thoroughly.

Our ever-vigilant group leader, Chris Ball, made sure we were happy, laughing, on-time, and all accounted for. The amazing course director, Ruth Polling, said "follow me" many times. Around the next corner, we encountered the spirits and stories of the Romans, Anglo-Saxons, Tudors, Victorians, Winston Churchill, Olympians, and immigrant groups. A beautifully-curated exhibition of the City of London.

This was an excellent course. Highly recommended. The instructor, Ruth Poling, did an exceptional job in leading and providing information that made the course both highly educational and very enjoyable.
