GO on this program because : 1 - You've always wanted to visit Greece, see the Parthenon, learn about the roots of our Western Civilization. 2 - WINTER is the perfect time to visit Greece. The weather was cool, but very comfortable with a jacket. But most importantly - NO CROWDS. Everywhere were went we were practically the only people there and it made a BIG difference in my enjoyment. 3 - love GREAT HOTELS - all were luxurious with perfect locations and incredible views. 4 - want a PREPARED, professional tour guide, always ready to answer any question and a wealth of knowledge. Chrysa was upbeat, humorous and excellent at handling group dynamics. 5 - Go because you deserve a real treat and FUN!

We have taken several trips with RS over the past few years and this one topped them all. The sites were fascinating and the scenery was beautiful. The biggest surprise was the city of Athens which has more to offer than just the Acropolis. Special thanks to Vicki who was a great tour guide and manager. She is a treasure. if you are considering this trip, just sign up. You won't regret it.

The Winter in Greece Program was a perfect choice for us in that it covered the major sights both in Athens and the Peloponnese Peninsula. The accommodations were perfectly located, the food was excellent and our group leader was outstanding.

If participants have not read the Iliad, they will learn all about the great players of the Mycenaean world, at least the mythological characters, and about the Bronze Age. I would recommend that participants read the Iliad and Odyssey before taking this trip.

What a wonderful experience! Everything that I could have hoped for and more! Sites Visited: All of the top destinations that you would expect to see in Greece were visited and our Group leader, Vicky, had a wealth of knowledge on each one! We were blessed with perfect weather at the perfect time - the evil eye bracelets worked and luck was on our side! Food: AMAZING!!! I loved every restaurant and we were very well fed. It was great to visit small, local restaurants where the ingredients were locally grown and you could tell a lot of love went in to the preparation. Accommodations: The hotels were stellar. I have to admit that the atmosphere of the Hotel Amphitryon in Nafplion was far superior to the Hera Hotel in Athens, but that's understandable. The trade-off for the beauty of Nafplion was it's distance from the historical sites and the drives that we took to get to them but it was so worth it. Getting There: For me, the airport transfers were a little tight. With flight delays and gate changes, I could have used a little more time between my connecting flights (I booked through RS). It's a great benefit to do the extensions if you can just to get to the trip without the added stress of getting to Athens. The Greek: Warm, welcoming, wonderful! Such a proud people who are eager to share their culture. My Group: Possibly the best part of the trip. RS just attracts people who want to learn and embrace the world around them. I have made some connections that I hope to maintain for years to come! Group Leader: VICKY!!! The absolute best! Overall: I really enjoyed my experience with RS and I have already booked my next adventure! Thank you for everything!
